Amanda Tsipai Death Leads to Murder Charge: Dishod Rowe Accused of Providing Fentanyl.
GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – A 25-year-old man has been charged with murder after authorities say he provided fentanyl to 37-year-old mother of three Amanda Tsipai, leading to her death in January. Dishod Rowe is currently held on a $500,000 bond in connection with the case, according to investigators.
Deputies with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office responded around 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 14 to the 4700 block of 2nd Street in Bacliff after receiving reports of a deceased person. When they arrived, they found Tsipai’s body in the driveway of her home. Authorities said she was partially standing and leaning into her vehicle. Detectives later determined she had likely been in that position overnight for approximately 18 hours.
Inside the home, deputies encountered a heartbreaking scene. Tsipai’s 10-year-old child was caring for a three-month-old sibling while alone in the house. The children had remained inside after their mother died outside. A third child was not home at the time.
Through forensic analysis of Tsipai’s cellphone data and surveillance footage from the area, investigators identified Rowe as the person who allegedly supplied the narcotics. Authorities say the evidence led to the murder charge, reflecting the seriousness of fentanyl-related deaths.
The case remains under investigation as officials continue to gather evidence. Law enforcement officials emphasize the dangers of fentanyl and the devastating impact it continues to have on families and communities across the region.
