Tragedy on I-69: Kingwood Teen Kinsley Irvine Identified as Victim in Fiery Porter Crash.

Authorities have identified Kinsley Irvine, 18, of Kingwood, as the driver who lost her life in a devastating single-vehicle crash on Interstate 69 in Porter, Texas. The fatal incident occurred Friday afternoon beneath the State Highway 99 flyover and prompted a major emergency response from local fire and law enforcement agencies.

According to investigators, Kinsley was traveling northbound on I-69 when her white GMC SUV suddenly left the roadway. Witnesses reported that the vehicle veered off the highway between the freeway and feeder road, passed behind a guardrail, and slammed into a concrete wall supporting the SH 99 eastbound-to-northbound flyover. The impact was severe, and the SUV immediately burst into flames.

Porter Fire Department crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after 1 p.m. following reports of a vehicle fire. When first responders arrived, they found the SUV fully engulfed in flames. The intensity of the fire made identification difficult, as the vehicle’s license plate and identification number were destroyed.

Investigators from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office worked together to determine the victim’s identity. After a thorough investigation, authorities confirmed the driver as Kinsley Irvine.

The crash temporarily reduced traffic on I-69 to two lanes while emergency personnel processed the scene and gathered evidence. Officials have not yet released information regarding what may have caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.

The investigation remains ongoing, and DPS is asking any additional witnesses with information about the crash to contact the DPS New Caney office.
