Authorities in Baltimore County are continuing their investigation into a fatal two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 72-year-old woman on Wednesday afternoon. The collision occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. on June 3, 2026, along Reisterstown Road near Shetland Circle, prompting a response from officers and emergency personnel.
According to the Baltimore County Police Department, the crash involved a 2017 Nissan Sentra and a 2023 Toyota RAV4. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders located the driver of the Nissan suffering from injuries sustained in the collision. The driver, identified as 72-year-old Francine White, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary findings from investigators indicate that the Nissan Sentra was traveling northbound on Reisterstown Road and was attempting to make a left turn from the center turn lane into a parking lot when it collided with the southbound Toyota RAV4. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles and led to the temporary disruption of traffic in the area as emergency crews worked at the scene.
Detectives assigned to the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities have not yet determined whether factors such as speed, driver distraction, road conditions, or other elements contributed to the collision.
