Young Life Cut Short: Sara Woolbright Killed in Paulding County Crash Involving Brian Robinson.

Sara Woolbright, 20, of Continental, Ohio, lost her life in a tragic crash on June 5, 2026, in Paulding County. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the collision involved Woolbright and Brian Robinson, 40, of Defiance, Ohio, at the intersection of State Route 637 and County Road 138 in Jackson Township. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and no charges have been filed.

Investigators reported that Woolbright was driving a 2002 Volkswagen Beetle westbound on County Road 138 and had stopped at the intersection before attempting to cross State Route 637. Robinson was traveling northbound in a 2025 Ford F-750 when the collision occurred. Authorities say Woolbright failed to yield at the posted stop sign and entered the path of the truck, leading to a devastating impact.

The collision forced both vehicles off the west side of State Route 637, where they struck a guardrail. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Woolbright was pronounced deceased at the scene. The heartbreaking loss of a young woman with her entire future ahead of her has left family, friends, and community members mourning.

Robinson and his passenger, Ronald Sanholtz, 64, of Liberty Center, Ohio, were not injured. Investigators have stated that drugs and alcohol are not believed to have contributed to the crash.

Multiple agencies responded to assist, including the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, Paulding Fire and EMS, and Gideons Towing and Recovery. Their efforts helped manage the scene and support the ongoing investigation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision, and no charges have been filed.
