WESLACO, Texas — Today, family, friends, and the Weslaco community gathered to lay to rest Juan and Jacklyn Guzman, a devoted couple whose lives were tragically cut short on February 28 in a road rage shooting in Hidalgo County. The devastating loss has left their five children without both parents, a grief too heavy for words.
Jacklyn Guzman, 33, was remembered as a devoted mother who centered her life around her family. Friends recalled her love for the color pink, her attention to detail in her appearance, and the joy she infused into every holiday and birthday. Her last act of love was planning a surprise birthday celebration for her husband Juan, a testament to her caring and thoughtful nature.
Juan Guzman, 34, was known as a hardworking and loyal husband and father. His gentle demeanor and dedication to family were evident in the time he spent creating joyful memories through trips, laughter, and everyday moments with his children. Together, Juan and Jacklyn built a life filled with love, warmth, and care, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew them.
Today’s funeral in Weslaco was both a moment of mourning and remembrance, as loved ones honored the couple’s lives and the love they poured into their family.
