MACON, Ga. — Tragedy struck early Friday morning at Pendleton Homes, an affordable housing development managed by the Macon Housing Authority, when a man was fatally shot just after midnight. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responding to the scene found 42-year-old Marquiz Dewayne Hoges suffering from a gunshot wound. Hoges was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
