John Cram Dies After Motorcycle Crash at Cherry and Dysart; DUI Arrest Made Following Springfield Collision.

A tragic two-vehicle crash in Springfield on the night of June 18, 2026, claimed the life of John Cram, 30, and left another person seriously injured. The collision occurred at the intersection of Cherry Street and Dysart Road and remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department.

According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:56 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious traffic crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. Investigators determined that Jordan Conrad, 19, was driving a 2008 Chrysler Sebring eastbound on Cherry Street when he attempted to make a left turn onto Dysart Road. During the turn, the vehicle entered the path of an oncoming motorcycle traveling westbound.

The motorcycle, a 2022 Kawasaki Ninja, was operated by John Cram, with Kelsey Huyck, 32, riding as a passenger. The impact was severe, causing both Cram and Huyck to be thrown from the motorcycle. Emergency responders quickly arrived and transported the victims to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Despite efforts by medical personnel, John Cram later died from injuries sustained in the crash. Huyck remains hospitalized in serious condition as she continues to receive treatment.

Following the investigation at the scene, Conrad was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into the Greene County Jail. Authorities have stated that the case will be submitted to the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office for review and possible criminal charges.

The fatal collision marked Springfield’s 10th deadly motor vehicle crash of 2026, bringing the city’s traffic death toll for the year to 11. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
