Tragedy in Pueblo, ShotSpotter Alert Leads to Discovery of Family Murder-Suicide.

The city of Pueblo is reeling after a violent and heartbreaking series of events claimed the lives of three family members in the early hours of the morning. What began as a high-tech notification of gunfire quickly transformed into a complex investigation of domestic tragedy, leaving a neighborhood in mourning and investigators searching for answers.

A Scene of Chaos

The incident was first detected by the city’s ShotSpotter system, which alerted the Pueblo Police Department to multiple rounds fired in the 1200 block of East 4th Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they were met with a gruesome sight that spanned the residential area:

  • One victim, later identified as Glenn Allen Beeman Jr., 40, was found deceased in the middle of the street.

  • A second victim, Amanda Leigh Manion, 41, was discovered unresponsive inside a nearby vehicle.

Both individuals had succumbed to gunshot wounds before medical personnel could provide assistance.

A Final Act of Violence

The tragedy extended further just moments later when authorities located a third individual. In a nearby location, 19-year-old Glenn Allen Beeman III was found dead. Preliminary reports indicate that the teenager died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, leading investigators to believe he was responsible for the deaths of his father and Manion before taking his own life.

The Pueblo community remains in a state of deep shock as they grapple with the scale of this loss. While the motive remains under investigation, the event serves as a grim reminder of the devastating impact of domestic violence. Local support services have been highlighted for those affected by the trauma of this sudden family collapse.
