The Anderson community is united in grief following the tragic and unexpected loss of Kelsey Rebekah King, 35, whose passing has left family members, friends, and loved ones heartbroken. According to the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Road 93 at approximately 8:46 a.m. Saturday to conduct a welfare check after a concerned family member reported being unable to reach one of the residents for several hours. Upon arriving at the home, deputies discovered Kelsey deceased inside a bedroom. Authorities also recovered a firearm at the scene.
Lauderdale County Coroner Kim Jones later identified the victim as Kelsey Rebekah King. She was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Huntsville, where an autopsy will be conducted as investigators continue working to determine the full circumstances surrounding her death.
