Emergency crews with the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department responded at approximately 9:20 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a camper on fire behind a residence in the 3400 block of 145th Street in the Point Place neighborhood. When firefighters arrived, they found the trailer heavily engulfed in flames, with much of the interior already consumed by the blaze.

After crews successfully extinguished the fire, firefighters entered the camper and made the grim discovery of a woman’s body inside. The victim was later identified as Jennifer Denman. On Wednesday, the coroner’s office confirmed that Denman had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
