Urgent Search Underway: AMBER Alert Issued for Missing 7-Year-Old Skylar Hopson in Pearland.
Authorities in Pearland, Texas have issued an urgent AMBER Alert for a missing 7-year-old child, prompting a large-scale search effort across the community. The alert, issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety, is asking the public to remain vigilant as law enforcement works to locate Skylar Hopson.
According to officials, Skylar was last seen at approximately 9:30 a.m. on March 11, 2026, in the 2000 block of Sunset Springs Drive on the far west side of the Shadow Creek Ranch neighborhood. Authorities say Skylar is nonverbal, which has heightened concerns about her safety and ability to communicate with others if she becomes lost or frightened.
At the time she was last seen, Skylar was reportedly wearing a tie-dye dress. Investigators have not yet released additional details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance but say search efforts are being conducted intensively in the surrounding area.
The Pearland Police Department is leading the search operation with support from several specialized resources. Officers have deployed K9 units and drones to scan the neighborhood and nearby areas. In addition, aerial support from the Houston Police Department helicopter is assisting in the effort to locate the missing child as quickly as possible.
Authorities are urging residents in Pearland and nearby communities to check their yards, vehicles, security cameras, and any areas where a child might seek shelter. Anyone who believes they have seen Skylar Hopson or has information about her whereabouts is urged to immediately call 911 or contact the Pearland Police Department at (281) 997-4100.
