A quiet Saturday afternoon in New Kent County, Virginia, turned tragic when a 31-year-old man lost his life after falling from his boat into the waters of Diascund Reservoir. Authorities say the incident occurred around 3:45 p.m., when emergency responders received reports of a man who had fallen overboard and failed to resurface. Despite search efforts, it was not until shortly after 6 p.m. that his body was recovered.
The victim, identified as Dalton B. Dunlap, had been fishing alone in a fiberglass boat at the time of the incident.
