A wave of sorrow has swept through Tulsa following the tragic death of 20-year-old Caleb Lopez, who lost his life in a motorcycle crash on the evening of June 22, 2026. The devastating incident occurred near the intersection of 31st Street and Riverside Drive, leaving family members, friends, and the community grieving the loss of a young man whose future held so much promise.
According to Tulsa Police, officers responded to the scene around 7:06 p.m. and discovered that Lopez had suffered fatal injuries after his motorcycle collided with a Nissan Pathfinder SUV. Preliminary findings indicate that a group of motorcycles was traveling northbound on Riverside when the southbound SUV attempted to make a left turn onto 31st Street. Witnesses and nearby surveillance footage reportedly captured the moments leading up to the crash.
Lopez’s motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV with tremendous force. Despite wearing a helmet, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver received treatment for minor injuries and was later released while the investigation continues.
