ST. LOUIS — A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken the Bridgeton community following the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Landon King, a senior at Ritenour High School, whose life was cut short in a senseless act of violence. The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, at the QuikTrip gas station located along St. Charles Rock Road near Interstate 270.
According to the Bridgeton Police Department, officers responded swiftly to reports of gunfire at the busy location. Upon arrival, they discovered Landon King suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot. Despite the urgency of the situation and efforts by first responders, he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, leaving family, friends, classmates, and teachers in deep mourning.
