The Campbellsville community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Ann Copass, 57, of Greensburg, and Christopher Penoyer, 35, of Campbellsville, following a tragic two-vehicle collision that claimed both of their lives on Saturday afternoon. The devastating crash occurred on Campbellsville Bypass near Walmart and has left family members, friends, and local residents grieving an unimaginable loss.
According to the Kentucky State Police, the preliminary investigation indicates that Ann Copass was attempting to make a left turn onto Campbellsville Bypass when her vehicle entered the path of an approaching motorcycle operated by Christopher Penoyer. The motorcycle collided with the vehicle, resulting in catastrophic injuries for both individuals involved.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene in an effort to provide aid. Sadly, the Taylor County Coroner’s Office pronounced Ann Copass deceased at the scene. Christopher Penoyer was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital for emergency treatment, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he later succumbed to his injuries.
