PARIS — Carleton Merrill, a 33-year-old motorcycle rider, died following a serious crash on Route 26 in Paris, Oxford County, on Wednesday afternoon. The fatal accident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m., prompting a response from local law enforcement and emergency medical personnel.
According to authorities, emergency responders were called to the scene after receiving reports of a motorcycle crash. Investigators say Merrill was operating his motorcycle along Route 26 when he attempted to pass another vehicle.
