ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. — A fatal motorcycle crash in Roanoke County has led to the arrest of 64-year-old Barbara Ann Callahan, who police say was driving under the influence when her Honda SUV collided with a motorcycle operated by 28-year-old Bishop Keanu Jackson. The crash occurred on Friday evening along Colonial Avenue and resulted in Jackson suffering critical injuries. He was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the collision.
According to the Roanoke County Police Department, the incident took place at approximately 7:35 p.m. in the 3600 block of Colonial Avenue. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of the crash and provided immediate medical assistance to the injured motorcyclist.
Following a preliminary investigation, authorities charged Callahan with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and refusal. Police have not yet released further details regarding the events leading up to the collision, and the case remains under investigation.
