The San Diego community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Zachary Ryan Goodall, a 25-year-old whose life was tragically cut short following a devastating two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near Clairemont Drive late on the night of June 14, 2026.
According to authorities, the collision occurred at approximately 11:40 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5 south of Clairemont Drive near Mission Bay Drive. Zachary was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved when the crash sent a vehicle off the roadway and down an embankment. Emergency responders rushed to the scene and worked tirelessly to rescue those trapped inside the wreckage.
Despite their efforts and the rapid transport to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, Zachary succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after midnight on June 15. His passing has left family members, friends, and loved ones facing an unimaginable loss.
