Deputies say the situation escalated only minutes later. About five minutes after the first crash, the same Camry reportedly struck a white Chevrolet sedan near Mahaffey Road. That collision injured the driver and two passengers inside the vehicle. Once again, investigators say Medina drove away without stopping to help the victims.

The driver of the semi that struck the technician initially left the scene, prompting authorities to issue a lookout for the vehicle. Deputies with the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office later located the truck parked along a roadway in Ohio County. Officers from the Hartford Police Department assisted in detaining the driver, identified as 31-year-old Suk Subba of Antioch, Tennessee.

Subba now faces several charges, including second-degree manslaughter, wanton endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident involving death or serious injury, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
