Riley Pawlick to Face Murder Trial in Labor Day Weekend Shooting of Holden Howse.
Authorities in Harriman have confirmed that 17-year-old Riley Pawlick will be tried as an adult in connection with a deadly Labor Day weekend shooting that claimed the life of 18-year-old Holden Howse. The decision was announced by Russell Johnson following developments in the case that shocked the local community.
According to a petition filed in Roane County Juvenile Court, Pawlick faces multiple serious charges, including second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and tampering with or fabricating evidence. Investigators allege that the shooting occurred during a party held over Labor Day weekend at Mr. Clean Detailing and Window Tinting.
Officials from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported that Pawlick allegedly shot and killed Howse and also pistol-whipped another victim during the incident. The party, which reportedly involved numerous teenagers, has become a central focus of the investigation.
The property where the gathering occurred belongs to former Harriman City Council member Brian Frost. Authorities said Frost later turned himself in after an arrest warrant was issued when he failed to appear in court on October 27 in relation to charges connected to the case.
Prosecutors also indicated that an adult family member was present at the party and may have acted as a host. As the case moves forward in court, the tragic loss of Holden Howse continues to weigh heavily on the Harriman community.
