JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A devastating tragedy has shaken the community after 2-year-old A’mahri Robertson was fatally shot late Sunday night in what authorities describe as a domestic-related incident.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, officers responded just before midnight on March 22, 2026, to the Valencia Way Apartments, formerly known as Eureka Gardens, on Labelle Street. Upon arrival, they found the young child suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders quickly transported A’mahri to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, he tragically died from his injuries.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute between adults inside the home. During the argument, a firearm was discharged, striking the toddler.
