Indiana Woman Charged with Nine Counts of Murder in Crete Township Triple Homicide.
A shocking development has emerged in the tragic triple homicide that shook Crete Township, Illinois, as authorities have formally charged a suspect in connection with the deadly incident. Will County Sheriff Mike Kelley confirmed that 30-year-old Jenna Strouble, of St. John, Indiana, now faces nine counts of first-degree murder following the killings that occurred on March 23, 2026, in the 3400 block of East Norway Trail.
According to investigators, the victims have been identified as 32-year-old Jacob Lambert and his parents, 54-year-old Stacy Forde and 55-year-old Patrick Forde. Authorities revealed that Lambert was found deceased inside a car in the driveway, while his parents were discovered near the front door of the home, indicating a violent and targeted attack.
Detectives say Strouble had an on-and-off relationship with Lambert, and the two shared children together, adding a deeply personal dimension to the tragedy. Following the incident, she allegedly fled the scene and returned to her residence in St. John, Indiana, where she was later taken into custody by local law enforcement.
Investigators report that Strouble made incriminating statements after her arrest, and a firearm recovered during the investigation has been linked to the weapon used in the killings. She is currently being held in the Lake County Jail in Indiana, awaiting extradition to Illinois where she will face the charges.
