Ronda Duane Bledsoe Found Dead, Haywood County Deputies Confirm Search for Missing 87-Year-Old Man.
HAYWOOD COUNTY, S.C. – The Haywood County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Wednesday that 87-year-old Ronda Duane Bledsoe, reported missing earlier this week, was found dead. Deputies said Bledsoe had last been seen Tuesday on Junco Cove Road in Maggie Valley, prompting an urgent search by law enforcement and community volunteers.
Authorities said Bledsoe suffered from severe cognitive decline and was believed to have wandered from his home. Given his condition, deputies and local residents immediately mobilized to locate him, sharing public alerts and urging anyone with information to call 911 or the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office at (828) 452-6666.
Tragically, Bledsoe was located on Wednesday, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
