Gone Too Soon: Remembering Antrez Tishan Mallory After Tragic Center Point Shooting.

The Center Point community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Antrez Tishan Mallory, an 18-year-old Birmingham resident whose life was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting Wednesday night at the Summit Ridge Apartments. Authorities confirmed that Mallory died after suffering a gunshot wound, leaving family, friends, and loved ones devastated by the sudden tragedy.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the shooting occurred shortly after 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Haversham Drive. Center Point Fire and Rescue and deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded after receiving a 911 call reporting that a young man had been shot in the neck. Despite emergency efforts, Mallory was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:19 p.m.

As investigators continue working to determine what led to the deadly violence, those who knew Antrez are remembering far more than the circumstances of his passing. They remember a young man with hopes, dreams, and a future filled with possibilities. At only 18 years old, he stood at the threshold of adulthood, a time when life should have been opening new doors rather than coming to a tragic end.

The loss of Antrez has sent shockwaves through the Birmingham and Center Point communities. His death serves as another painful reminder of the devastating impact of gun violence on families and neighborhoods.

In the days ahead, loved ones will gather not only to grieve but also to celebrate the life of a son, relative, friend, and community member whose presence touched many lives. Though his time on earth was far too brief, the memory of Antrez Tishan Mallory will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace. 🕊️
