Lethbridge Murder Investigation, Third Suspect Charged in Death of 27-Year-Old Man.

A significant development has emerged in a Lethbridge homicide investigation as police have arrested and charged a third suspect in connection with the death of a 27-year-old man. Authorities confirmed that a 42-year-old male was taken into custody late Monday night following the execution of search warrants at two residences located along Mt. Crandell Crescent.

The accused, identified as Nicholas Rodney Scout, now faces one count of first-degree murder. He joins two other male suspects who were previously arrested on March 28 as part of the ongoing investigation. Police say Scout remains in custody as he awaits a Judicial Interim Release hearing.

The case stems from an incident reported on the morning of March 27, when officers and emergency medical services responded to a call about an assault at an apartment complex in the 200 block of 7A Avenue South. Upon arrival, first responders discovered an unresponsive man inside one of the units. Despite efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have indicated that the attack was not random, but rather a targeted incident involving individuals known to one another. While the motive has not been publicly disclosed, authorities continue to gather evidence and piece together the circumstances surrounding the fatal assault.

Police have emphasized that the investigation remains active, and no further details will be released at this time. The arrest marks a crucial step forward as officials work toward justice for the victim and answers for the grieving community.
