Authorities say McBeth, a resident of Fostoria, was driving along North Blanchard Street when he suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel, leading to a fatal chain of events.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:18 p.m. at the intersection of North Blanchard Street and Crystal Avenue. According to the Findlay Police Department, McBeth lost control of the vehicle after the medical episode. In a desperate attempt to prevent disaster, a passenger inside the car tried to assist by steering, but was unable to regain control.

The vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with an unoccupied parked vehicle before striking a utility pole and a tree. The impact was severe, and Devante McBeth was pronounced dead at the scene.

Also killed in the crash was 31-year-old Breanna Garvey, who was seated in the rear of the vehicle. A third occupant, 38-year-old Christopher Hook, survived but suffered serious injuries and was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment.
