A deeply disturbing case has emerged as authorities confirm an arrest in connection with the death of 85-year-old Ina Balch, who was found tied up and murdered inside her home. The tragic discovery, which dates back to December 9, has left the community shaken and searching for answers.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, 33-year-old Cordell Wilson has been identified as the suspect. Officials say Wilson was already in custody on unrelated charges at the time he was formally charged in connection with this case. He now faces multiple serious charges, including first- and second-degree murder, as well as rape and burglary.
Officers initially responded to a home on Northwest 9th Street near Indiana Avenue, where Balch was found deceased under horrifying circumstances. Court records reveal that she had been bound with clothing items tied behind her back—bindings that restricted her movement and made it impossible for her to escape.
The victim’s son made the heartbreaking discovery after noticing the back door of the house was open. What he found inside was a scene no family member should ever have to witness.
