Remembering Roy McGee Jr. and Lifting the McGee and Crider Families in Prayer.
With heavy hearts, we ask for prayers for the McGee arm of our family, as well as all of us in the Crider family, following the heartbreaking loss of Roy McGee Jr. Yesterday, we said goodbye to someone who held a special place in our lives—not only as the eldest of our grandfather’s grandchildren, but as a guiding presence whose life touched so many.
Roy McGee Jr. was more than a name in our family tree. He was a son, a brother, a father, and a source of strength and connection for those around him. Being the eldest grandchild, he carried a quiet responsibility, often leading by example and helping to keep the family bond strong. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.
We ask for specific prayers for his beloved mother, Barbara Sue McGee, who now faces the unimaginable pain of losing her son. Please also keep his siblings, Amos and Tracy, in your thoughts as they navigate this profound grief. Most of all, lift up Roy Jr.’s twin children, Aaron and Faith, who now must grow forward without their father’s presence but will always carry his love within them.
This is a tragic and deeply painful loss for our entire family. In moments like these, we lean on faith, on one another, and on the power of prayer. We are grateful for every kind word, every prayer, and every bit of support as we begin to process this loss and honor Roy’s memory.
