Multi-State Chase Ends in Louisiana, Rashad McCroy Taken Into Custody in Connection to Jaylon Walker Homicide.

A dramatic and dangerous multi-state chase that began in Natchez and Vicksburg came to an end in Delta, as authorities captured three individuals connected to a high-speed pursuit and an ongoing homicide investigation.

Law enforcement officials say the situation began when they received information that a homicide suspect was traveling in a black Dodge Challenger heading toward the area. The suspect was identified as Rashad McCroy, 25, who was a passenger in the vehicle. The car was being driven by 21-year-old Jaleel Fleming, with another passenger, Keyonica Hatchett, also inside.

When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled, sparking a high-speed chase that escalated quickly. Speeds reportedly reached up to 140 mph as the vehicle sped onto Interstate 20, crossing state lines into Louisiana. Multiple law enforcement agencies joined the pursuit as the situation became increasingly dangerous.

The chase ultimately ended near the Mississippi River levee in Delta, where the vehicle reached a dead-end road. All three occupants fled on foot into a marshy area in an attempt to escape. After a search, McCroy later turned himself in peacefully after speaking with family members.

McCroy is wanted in connection with the February killing of 18-year-old Jaylon Walker. Fleming and Hatchett were also apprehended and now face multiple charges.

Despite the intensity of the pursuit, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported.
