The Saginaw community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Adarrius Robinson, a 29-year-old resident of Bridgeport Township who was fatally shot early Sunday morning. As family and friends grieve his sudden and tragic death, authorities have charged Kevin Keaner, 50, with Murder and Tampering with Evidence in connection with the case. The development marks a significant step in the investigation, but it does little to ease the pain felt by those who knew and loved Robinson.
According to the Saginaw Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 2400 block of Phoenix Street near South 20th Street at approximately 2:20 a.m. on June 8. Witnesses reported hearing roughly a dozen gunshots before authorities were notified. When officers arrived, they discovered Robinson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders immediately attempted lifesaving measures, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tragic incident launched an extensive homicide investigation involving the Saginaw Police Department and the Michigan State Police Major Case Unit. Detectives spent hours processing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and following leads in an effort to understand what led to the deadly encounter. The investigation initially proceeded without a suspect in custody as authorities worked diligently to piece together the events surrounding Robinson’s death.
