Heartbreaking End to Search, Body of Missing 115 Bourbon Street Employee Dan Davis Found After Three Months.
The months-long search for missing bar employee Dan Davis has come to a heartbreaking conclusion after authorities confirmed his body was found Monday afternoon in Blue Island, Illinois. Davis, 59, had been missing since November after leaving 115 Bourbon Street, where he worked as a longtime lighting technician and was considered family by staff and regulars.
According to reports, Davis was last seen around 1:15 a.m. after leaving the venue at 3359 W. 115th Street in Merrionette Park, Illinois. Earlier that night, he had been involved in a car accident and was dropped off at the bar by police. Authorities said he declined medical treatment at the time. Body camera footage later showed Davis nearly slipping on a curb after being dropped off, one of the last recorded moments before he disappeared.
After months of searching, Davis’ body was discovered near the 3300 block of Wireton Road. The discovery brings painful closure to his daughter Wendy, who led a relentless effort to find her father. She organized the Facebook group “Find Dan Davis,” gathering volunteers and community members who conducted searches and shared surveillance images in hopes of locating him.
In an emotional statement, Wendy described her father as her “smarter, goofier, and relentlessly selfless other half,” recalling a lifetime filled with laughter and playful memories. She thanked the countless volunteers, investigators, and organizations that helped search for him, saying their support restored her faith in humanity.
Though the outcome is devastating, loved ones say the overwhelming response proves just how deeply Dan Davis was loved. 💔
