The community of Jenera, Ohio, is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Chad Shepler, 30, whose life was tragically cut short in a devastating two-vehicle crash on the morning of June 16, 2026. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Findlay Post, Chad was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 westbound on Lincoln Highway when a 2019 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by 57-year-old Gregory Miron of Ada, entered the intersection of County Road 15 and Lincoln Highway and collided with the driver’s side of Chad’s vehicle. The impact proved fatal, and Chad was pronounced deceased at the scene despite the efforts of emergency responders.
Investigators reported that the Chevrolet Cruze allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign before entering the intersection. Following the collision, both vehicles traveled off the roadway and came to rest in a nearby field. Chad was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, a detail confirmed by authorities as they continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
The sudden passing of Chad Shepler has left family members, friends, and the wider community in deep sorrow. Those who knew him remember a kind-hearted individual whose presence brought warmth and positivity to the lives of others. His unexpected death serves as a painful reminder of how quickly life can change and how precious every moment with loved ones truly is.
While Gregory Miron sustained serious injuries and was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital, officials stated that impairment does not appear to have been a factor in the collision. The crash remains under active investigation.
As loved ones gather to grieve and celebrate Chad’s life, they hold tightly to the memories he leaves behind. Though his journey ended far too soon, Chad Shepler’s legacy of friendship, kindness, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace and be forever remembered.
