ELLENVILLE, NY — A 28-year-old Westbrookville man is in custody and facing a second-degree murder charge following the death of 29-year-old Nicole Izabella Perez, who was found dead inside her apartment in the Village of Ellenville, authorities confirmed.

According to New York State Police Troop F, the investigation began on March 30, 2026, when officers from the Ellenville Police Department conducted a welfare check at a residence on Clinton Avenue.
