Fatal Highway 20 Crash Near Muscle Shoals: Dwight D. Page Jr. Dies, Two Children Injured.

A late-night crash on Alabama Highway 20 has claimed the life of Dwight D. Page Jr., a 46-year-old man from Leighton, and left two young children injured, according to authorities in Colbert County. The tragic collision occurred around 9:55 p.m. Sunday near the 32-mile marker, roughly five miles east of Muscle Shoals, and remains under investigation by state troopers.

Officials said Page was driving a 2013 Nissan Altima when it was struck by a 2025 Jeep Wrangler driven by 19-year-old Dyllon L. Autry Jr. of Holly Springs, Mississippi. Authorities reported that Page was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Emergency responders arrived quickly and airlifted Page to Huntsville Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. Despite medical efforts, he later died from those injuries. The driver of the Jeep was not reported injured.

Two passengers in the Jeep, a five-year-old child and a five-month-old infant, sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.

The incident has left the local community shaken as investigators work to determine the factors that led to the collision. Troopers continue to gather evidence and assess the circumstances surrounding the crash, with no additional details released at this time.
