The Hancock County community is mourning the tragic loss of Michael Davis, a 36-year-old Kenton resident whose life was cut short in a devastating single-vehicle crash Friday evening in Allen Township. The heartbreaking accident has left family members, friends, and loved ones grieving the sudden loss of a man whose passing has deeply affected those who knew him.
According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene of the crash at approximately 5:55 p.m. on May 29 along State Route 613 near Township Road 231. Preliminary findings indicate that Michael Davis was operating a gray 2002 International truck westbound on SR 613 when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle crossed into the eastbound lanes.
Authorities reported that the truck then veered off the right side of the roadway and overturned before coming to rest. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and worked to assess the situation. Tragically, Michael Davis sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased as a result of the crash.
The loss has sent waves of sorrow throughout the Kenton and Hancock County communities. Friends and loved ones remember Michael as more than a name in a report.
