PASCO, Wash. — Authorities have identified Carlos Pimentel as the man found dead inside the trunk of his own vehicle on Sunday morning, a discovery that has prompted an active investigation by the Pasco Police Department. The incident unfolded along South 4th Avenue, where officers responded after receiving a missing person report earlier that day.
According to Lt. Tom Groom, police were first alerted around 9:55 a.m. and began searching for the individual. During the course of the investigation, officers located the vehicle and made the tragic discovery of Pimentel’s body inside the trunk. The circumstances leading up to his death remain unclear, and officials have not yet released further details about what may have happened.
Franklin County Coroner Curtis McGary confirmed that the cause of death has not yet been determined. An autopsy is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, which is expected to provide more insight into how Pimentel died.
