SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Brandon Michael Armstrong, 33, of Saginaw Township, was fatally stabbed during an altercation Thursday evening, and police have arrested a suspect in connection with the homicide. Authorities have not yet publicly released the suspect’s name but confirmed that he was taken into custody and lodged on an open murder charge.
Officers from the Saginaw Township Police Department responded to the 4500 block of Ashwood Drive West at approximately 6:04 p.m. on June 4, 2026, following reports of a physical altercation between two men. While en route, officers received updated information indicating that one of the individuals involved had been stabbed multiple times.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Armstrong lying unconscious in a driveway with apparent stab wounds to his torso. Police immediately initiated life-saving measures; however, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that the suspect had driven to the location and exited his vehicle before becoming involved in a physical confrontation with Armstrong. During the altercation, a knife was allegedly produced, and Armstrong was stabbed several times in the torso.
The suspect fled the scene following the incident. Investigators later reviewed surveillance video from the area, which helped identify the individual involved. A short time later, officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident.
