Warren County Homicide, Four Murder Suspects Now Facing Immigration Detainers.
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. — Authorities in Warren County have announced that four of five men arrested in connection with last month’s fatal shooting of Diego Andres Lopez-Urdaneta are now facing immigration detainers. The case has drawn significant attention as investigators continue to piece together the events leading to Lopez-Urdaneta’s death.
According to law enforcement, the suspects followed Lopez-Urdaneta in his truck after an altercation outside Club Havana, a local bar. Investigators later discovered Lopez-Urdaneta inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head, confirming his death at the scene.
The four suspects currently subject to immigration detainers include Bryan Aguero Lopez, identified as the alleged shooter and charged with murder, and Jason Aguero Lopez, Luis Angel Lira Duron, and Jose Luis Galindo Hernandez, all charged with complicity to commit murder. The fifth suspect, Christopher Meza Ramirez, served as the driver during the incident but is not currently under an immigration detainer.
Authorities have emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing, with law enforcement continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses to fully reconstruct the sequence of events. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office and local prosecutors are coordinating efforts to ensure the suspects face appropriate charges under state law while federal authorities handle the immigration detainer process.
This tragic incident has left the local community in shock, raising concerns about public safety and the circumstances surrounding violent altercations outside nightlife establishments. Officials urge anyone with additional information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
