Mitchell Ventress Killed in Watson McDonald’s Shooting, Three Arrested in Deadly Parking Lot Homicide.
A tragic shooting in a McDonald’s parking lot in Watson, Louisiana, has left 26-year-old Mitchell Ventress dead and three suspects in custody, shaking the local community and prompting an ongoing investigation. The घटना unfolded on the evening of March 18, 2026, at the restaurant located along Highway 16, where deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire around 7 p.m.
When authorities arrived, they discovered Ventress, a resident of Denham Springs, inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told investigators they saw two men exit the passenger side of the vehicle shortly after the shot was fired, providing critical leads in the early stages of the investigation.
Detectives quickly identified a suspect vehicle, which was later located in the Central area of Baton Rouge. Deputies conducted a stop and detained Kevonta Dennis, 25, and Keondra McNeely, 26. Further investigation led to a search warrant being executed at an apartment on Sully Drive, where additional individuals were questioned. Authorities later arrested 39-year-old Keedrick Jack in connection with the homicide.
Sheriff Jason Ard stated that Dennis and Jack had arranged to meet Ventress in the parking lot for a narcotics transaction. During that meeting, Ventress was shot and killed under circumstances that remain under investigation.
All three suspects are currently in custody and will be transferred to the Livingston Parish Detention Center. As the investigation continues, authorities are working to uncover the full details behind this senseless and tragic loss of life.
