PENAL, Trinidad and Tobago — A violent early-morning shooting has left a community in shock after three men were found dead inside a residence along Lachoos Road, Penal, Monday morning. Authorities have identified the victims as 17-year-old Jordan Cudjoe Burke, 22-year-old Ishmael Matthews, and 21-year-old Roberto Samuel Carlos of Corinth Hills, San Fernando.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 2:56 a.m. A resident was awakened by loud explosions and went to check a downstairs bedroom, where she discovered the three men lying motionless. Emergency services were called immediately, but the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Responding officers noted evidence of gunfire, including several spent 9-millimeter shells, and blood throughout the room, indicating the ferocity of the attack. Investigators are actively working to piece together the events leading up to the shooting and to determine the motive behind the deadly assault.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has launched a full investigation, conducting interviews with neighbors, gathering forensic evidence, and canvassing the area for potential witnesses.
