Suspect Found in Town of Turtle, Tyiece Oninski Arrested After 14-Year-Old Found Dead.
TOWN OF TURTLE, Wis. — Authorities have apprehended a suspect following the discovery of a 14-year-old child found dead Friday morning in a home in the Town of Turtle. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 41-year-old Tyiece Oninski of Beloit was taken into custody in connection with the incident.
Sheriff’s officials said multiple agencies were called to conduct a welfare check at a residence in the 2000 block of East Gorton Street before 8 a.m. Friday, where first responders discovered the teen’s body. Authorities have not released the identity of the child as the investigation remains active.
Oninski faces a potential charge of first-degree intentional homicide, though officials have not clarified the exact relationship between the suspect and the teen. The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office is assisting the sheriff’s office with a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
