Tragic Discovery in Binghamton, Missing Man Found Dead Weeks After Disappearance.
A somber update has brought closure, yet deep sorrow, to the community of Binghamton after a man previously reported missing was found dead weeks after he was last seen. Authorities confirmed that 38-year-old Colyn C. Williams, who had been classified as an endangered missing person, was discovered deceased on March 25, 2026.
Williams was last seen on February 6 in the vicinity of UHS Binghamton General Hospital, sparking concern among family members and law enforcement. Flyers and public appeals circulated throughout the city as efforts intensified to locate him.
The case took a tragic turn when officers from the Vestal Police Department and New York State Police responded to a report of a body found along a riverbank in Vestal. The discovery was made around 2:30 p.m. on an embankment behind a business on Vestal Road.
