A Routine Shift Turns Fatal: Inside the Tragic Stabbing of Jordanne Drinkwater.

What began as an ordinary day at a Walmart store in Conway, Arkansas, ended in tragedy with the loss of 32-year-old associate Jordanne Drinkwater. Authorities have now released new details surrounding the fatal stabbing that has left a community shaken and searching for answers.

According to Conway Police, the incident occurred late Tuesday night inside the Walmart on Skyline Drive. Public Information Officer Daniel Hogan explained that officers were dispatched following reports of an active stabbing involving an employee. When they arrived, the situation quickly escalated.

Police say the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Zeddrick Ross, advanced toward officers while still armed with a knife, ignoring repeated commands to drop the weapon. Investigators confirmed that the knife had been brought into the store, not taken from within. In an attempt to stop the threat, one officer discharged a firearm, but the shot missed. Officers then used a taser to subdue Ross and safely take him into custody.

Despite immediate efforts by officers to render aid, Jordanne Drinkwater tragically succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Her death has left coworkers, friends, and family devastated.

Authorities have stated that, at this time, there is no known connection between Ross and Drinkwater. Surveillance footage and witness statements are being carefully reviewed as investigators work to determine a motive behind the attack.

As the investigation continues, the Conway community mourns a life lost far too soon, grappling with the reality that a routine workday turned into an unthinkable act of violence.
