Young Woman Ellie Flanagan Found Dead in Enniskillen, PSNI Investigates, Arrest Made.

A 23-year-old woman, Ellie Flanagan, has been tragically found dead at a residence in the Corban Avenue area of Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, on Saturday, the PSNI confirmed. Officers discovered Flanagan while carrying out enquiries related to a separate collision on the Carn Road near Tempo at around 9:15 p.m. that evening.

Police received a report of a collision involving a man on the Carn Road. When officers arrived, the car involved was located, but the driver had fled the scene. Following the discovery of Flanagan’s body, a 45-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of murder and other related offences. He remains in police custody, and detectives have been granted an additional 36 hours to question him as the investigation continues.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Robinson said the PSNI team “continues to work at pace to establish the circumstances surrounding Ellie’s death and to determine exactly what happened.” He appealed to anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that even small details could prove crucial. He specifically asked anyone traveling on Cornagrade Road into Corban Avenue between 6:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. on Saturday to report anything unusual or suspicious.

The PSNI also confirmed that a visible police presence will remain in the Corban Avenue area in the coming days as the investigation progresses. Members of the public are encouraged to share photos and footage, including CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone recordings, via the Major Incident Public Portal.

The investigation has sent shockwaves through the Enniskillen community as authorities work to piece together the events that led to the death of Ellie Flanagan. Police continue to urge anyone with information to assist in bringing clarity and justice in this tragic case.
