Leinbach Park Shooting Turns Deadly: Erubey Medina, 17, and Daniel Millian, 16, Killed in Escalating Violence.

 

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Erubey Medina, 17, and Daniel Millian, 16, were tragically killed in a mass shooting at Leinbach Park on Monday morning, an incident that has left the Winston-Salem community shaken and grieving. Authorities say the violence began as a planned fight but quickly escalated into gunfire, resulting in multiple casualties.

According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, Medina was found in the park’s parking lot and was pronounced dead at the scene. Millian was discovered further inside the park suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite emergency response efforts, he too was pronounced dead at the scene.

Several other individuals were injured during the shooting, though officials have not released full details about their conditions. First responders arrived quickly, securing the scene and providing medical assistance to those who were hurt.

Investigators believe the incident stemmed from a confrontation that had been arranged ahead of time but spiraled out of control. Detectives are actively working to identify suspects and piece together the sequence of events that led to the deadly shooting.
