Body Found Near Monroe Creek: Jeffrey C. Miller Jr., 31, Identified as Investigation Continues.

MONROE, Wis. — Authorities have identified 31-year-old Jeffrey C. Miller Jr. as the man whose body was discovered near a creek over the weekend, bringing a somber development to an ongoing missing persons case. The Monroe Police Department confirmed Tuesday that Miller’s body was found shortly after 4:10 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of State Highway 69.

At the time of the discovery, law enforcement agencies were actively searching for Miller, who had been reported missing days earlier. According to officials, he was last seen on April 13 within the City of Monroe. The Green County Sheriff’s Office had issued a public appeal for assistance in locating him, sharing details on social media in hopes of generating leads.

Investigators say Miller did not have a permanent address at the time he went missing, adding complexity to the search efforts. Authorities were able to locate both the vehicle he had been driving and his cell phone prior to the discovery of his body, though it remains unclear how these findings connect to the circumstances surrounding his death.

An autopsy was conducted on Monday, but officials have not yet determined Miller’s cause of death. Investigators are also working to understand how he came to be in the location where he was found. At this stage, police have not released information indicating whether foul play is suspected.

The case remains under active investigation as authorities continue to gather evidence and piece together a timeline. Community members are awaiting answers as they reflect on the tragic outcome of the search for Jeffrey C. Miller Jr.
