My heart is completely broken over the tragic loss of Alexis. It is hard to put into words the sadness and disbelief so many of us are feeling right now. Alexis was one of the sweetest people anyone could ever meet. She had only recently returned to work, and every time you saw her, she greeted everyone with a warm smile, a kind word, and a genuine willingness to help. She treated people with respect, compassion, and kindness, no matter who they were.
What makes this loss even harder is knowing how undeserving she was of such a tragedy. Alexis had a beautiful spirit that brightened the lives of those around her. She was the kind of person who would do anything she could for someone in need. Her positivity was contagious, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Thinking about how close I came to being at that store that day only adds to the heartbreak. Alexis was more than a familiar face—she was a friend. We shared conversations, laughter, and encouragement. She was one of my loyal cookie lovers, always uplifting me and reminding me how good my cookies were. Those small moments now mean so much more.
My prayers are with her mother, whom Alexis spoke about so often with love and devotion, as well as her entire family, friends, and coworkers who are grieving this unimaginable loss. Alexis will be remembered for her infectious smile, generous heart, and beautiful soul.
