Turnage were arrested following investigations into the deadly incidents, according to Louisiana State Police Troop L.

    Troopers said the first fatal crash occurred on May 22 at approximately 11:50 p.m. along U.S. Highway 51 near LA Highway 1064 in Tickfaw. Preliminary findings revealed that a 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by 25-year-old Resjyne Griffin traveled off the roadway, entered a ditch, and struck a culvert.

    Authorities said Griffin and two juvenile passengers were not properly restrained at the time of the crash. Kaybri Robinson, only six months old, was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries. A 5-year-old passenger sustained moderate injuries, while Griffin also suffered moderate injuries.
