RALSTON, Neb. — Authorities have identified 29-year-old Shane Krantz as the victim of a fatal shooting that took place Thursday morning outside a convenience store in Ralston, Nebraska. The tragic incident has left family members, friends, and community residents mourning as investigators continue working to determine exactly what led to the deadly encounter.
According to the Ralston Police Department, officers responded at approximately 6:40 a.m. to reports of a shooting at the Kwik Shop near 72nd and Q Streets. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located Krantz in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency personnel immediately provided life-saving medical treatment before transporting him to a nearby hospital.
Despite the efforts of first responders and medical staff, Krantz later died from his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
