A homicide investigation is underway in Winnipeg following a tragic incident that claimed the life of 21-year-old Trencent Francois and resulted in the arrest of 20-year-old Precious Rayne Walker, who has been charged with manslaughter. The incident occurred during the early morning hours of June 13, 2026, at a residence in the 700 block of Toronto Street. Francois, a member of the Nelson House First Nation who had been residing in Winnipeg, was found suffering from life-threatening injuries and later died in hospital despite emergency medical efforts.
